As a sophomore at George Mason University majoring in Government and International Politics – with a minor in International Security and a concentration in International Political Economy – I’m beginning to see how deeply business law shapes the world around us.
Through my internship at Thomas Law, I’ve learned that contracts, compliance, and corporate structures aren’t just legal concepts, they’re the backbone of how organizations operate responsibly and strategically. Business law creates the framework for ethical decision-making, growth, and innovation.
In college, these principles show up more often than we realize – leases, student organizations, internships, research projects – all rely on legal structures that help students navigate opportunities with clarity and confidence. Understanding these foundations early provides an advantage no matter where your career leads: law, policy, business, or international affairs.
Interning at Thomas Law has given me a front-row seat to the level of strategy, precision, and client care that goes into supporting a business at every stage. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from attorneys who prioritize clarity, professionalism, and practical solutions in every matter they handle.
