D. Margeaux Thomas, a seasoned litigator, spent nearly 10 years practicing at large law firms employing 200 – 300 attorneys. Margeaux founded ThomasLaw with a mission of offering her clients the experience gained from almost a decade of “Big Law” practice, all with the personal touch, greater value and flexibility, and cost-effectiveness of a small firm. Margeaux formerly with Miles & Stockbridge, PC and Williams Mullen, has aggressively represented individuals and small business in complex commercial and business litigation, consumer fraud, and class action cases at the trial and appellate level throughout Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Margeaux has first-chaired numerous bench and jury trials on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants and obtained successful outcomes for her clients.Margeaux graduated magna cum laude from Bowling Green State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations. Margeaux received her law degree from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. Margeaux has been recognized in both the Virginia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Ed. in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. She was also recognized in the Washington D.C. Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Ed. in 2014 and 2015. Margeaux lectures regularly on ethics and commercial litigation issues throughout Virginia. Margeaux grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and also resided in San Germán, Puerto Rico prior to moving to the Washington, DC area for law school. Margeaux enjoys spending time with her husband and twin boys, and in her spare time can be found cooking, and dabbling in her vegetable garden.
